Parrying
Timing is everything: Practice on the weaker enemies to master the rhythm and reaction window.
Complete the "Old Inn" quest early:
The mission at Yotei Shadow Inn is crucial as it unlocks the bounty board, merchants,
the cartographer, and the fear-inducing "Onryo's Howl" ability.
Master parrying and dodging:
Normal attacks can be blocked, blue-glint attacks must be parried, and red-glint attacks must be dodged.
Perfect timing opens enemies for counterattacks.
Essential Setting Adjustments
Turn off Motion Blur and Depth of Field: for better visibility of enemies.
Use a "Tactical" button layout: lets the thumbstick control crouch/slide/prone for better movement while aiming.
Don't Overstay Your Welcome: Experienced players will hunt you down if you stay in one spot.
Aim for the Head:
The time-to-kill is fast. Aiming slightly higher guarantees the fastest kills.
Boss Strategy: Eddie Dombrowski
Use cover: The hanging meat provides brief protection. Shoot Eddie to stagger him, then hide.
Listen for his location: Track his footsteps and reload sounds. Use meat pile noises as position markers.
Use the shotgun:
High-damage and ideal when Eddie exposes himself after destroying a meat pile.
